Corsham – Paul Ayshford, 4th Baron Methuen, Landscape and figure painter, Zoologist was born at Corsham. He is noted for painting landscapes of  details of the Hall at Lacock abbey and views around Corsham. Associate of the Royal Academy. During WWl he served with the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry.
