During WWI the Post Office and Grocers store was owned by George Stanley Grant. A few years later the shop had been taken over by H. J. Lockyer who was listed as baker, grocer, overseer and sub postmaster. Much later the building was demolished and the site became the location of the Stonehenge Filling Station.
