Location
Tidworth is a Garrison town (Military Base) in the south-east of Wiltshire. It is located on the edge of the Salisbury Plain about 15 miles north, north-east of Salisbury. Originally North Tidworth was located in Wiltshire & South Tidworth was part of the county of Hampshire. The boundary was redrawn in 1992 and the separation of the two parts of Tidworth was removed. The entire town of Tidworth became part of Wiltshire, however the two parts remained as separate civil parishes until 1st April, 2004.
