North Wraxall is just to the north of the Bristol Road, A420 on the Chippenham (east) side of Marshfield. St. James church is currently part of a benefice of 10 churches. There is a grand stone memorial in a railed off area inside the church with memorial stones on the walls commemorating the Methuen family who owned Corsham Court and most of the land around the Chippenham area up to Bromham and across to Bristol. There is a small independent chapel in the village dating from 1851 which has its own graveyard.
