The Parish Church of All Saints
The present church situated in Swan Lane was built in 1896 using much of the stone from an earlier church at Waterhay. All that remains of the original church is the Chancel which is Grade II* listed. The original church is believed to have been built in the 13th century records show that there was a reconstruction of the building in 1370 when a south porch was added and further construction or renovation work carried out in 1450. A further programme of upgrade took place in the 18th century and text paintings were added within cartouches which were restored in 1983. A gallery was added in 1717 and the Chancel rebuilt in 1720. Preachers from Ashton Keynes and later Cricklade held the services at the church. The chancel is nowadays within the care of Redundant Churches Commission and services are still held here.

Leigh All Saints Old Church

All Saints
All Saints’ Church is now just a chancel, the remains of a medieval church near the source of the Thames that was abandoned to its wetland surroundings in the nineteenth-century when the rest of the church was removed to a drier and more convenient site.
Near the Waterhey public car park.
