The Parish Church of All Saints
On the right bank of the River Avon stands the church of All Saints, a large and interesting building with 12th Century nave arcades formed of massive blocks of masonry supporting plain round arches. The chancel arch is of the same date but is pointed. On the north side of the chancel is an octagonal sacristy or vestry – an unusual feature in a country church – probably of the 13th Century.

The Swan Inn, Long Street
This was a coaching inn and, after 1742, the tything lands of the parish were controlled by a Mr. Davis, the landlord, who was also the village constable. The Brass Room is decorated with a fine collection of horse brasses and furnishings, farming implements, guns and other relics of a bygone age, and outside the inn is the great spit used to roast a whole ox on the occasion of the 1953 Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. This was one of the special Coronation events photographed in Wiltshire and included in the Coronation album presented to Her Majesty. The Swan fought off closure in 1998 and is now part owned by the villagers.
