In the 1911 census returns, one Alfred James Sharpe aged 39 a coachman from Taunton, Somerset and his family – wife Louisa, aged 34 from Pirton, Herefordshire; son Harold Albert, aged 7 born in Wansdworth, Middlesex; daughter Dorothy, aged 3 born in Hindon and son John, aged 1 also born in Hindon took up residence in the dwelling known as The Needles!
