Donations
It has been several years since Susan and Michael Pearson handed over the reins of this website to Teresa Lewis. The site has come a long way since Susan first had the idea of the Wiltshire OPC following the idea of the original concept of Cornwall. Since October 2017 we launched our Go Fund Me/Just Giving appeal to allow us to keep the website online. This has been an amazing tool for us as it allows us to fund the hosting of the site by Ben Grist (2025) who is our new webmaster who took on the roll following the retirement of Richard Cresswell. Ben is continuing to develop the website for us but as he has other work commitments it will take time.
The management team still face new challenges but we will keep the site running for as long as we can. We still intend to keep the site as a free to use facility but we will continue with our fundraising efforts to secure its future and maintenance. We therefore ask our users if they wish to make a small donation to assist us to keep the site running for the longer good. Please note and we reiterate that this is a voluntary donation and is not a requirement to use this site. The site will remain free to anyone who wishes to use the information we provide.
The people who run the site do so as volunteers and receive no financial rewards whatsoever so please be assured that your donation will be used to maintain the site and for no other purpose. We do not purchase resources for the site, for these we rely entirely on the OPC’s providing items such as book, postcards, photographs and other items of interest that can be transcribed or scanned to be published to the numerous parish pages. We do hope you understand our decision to operate in this manner and thank you all in advance for any support you generously give.
