Well a little late but Happy 2025 to you all.
I do apologise for the delay in the news and the lack of Christmas quizzes but I have been in the middle of moving house. Just a few miles up the coast from where we were but nearer to the beach with its lovely views of the Isle of Arran and Ailsa Craig. If you watch the Winter Olympics you will know what that tiny island is famous for. For those of you who have no idea then nearly all the curling stones used in the sport are made of granite mined from the island quarry. It is a beautiful part of the country but very wild as storm Eowyn showed us. Quite a few slates and ridge tiles lie in my back garden, just thankful I am in the ground floor flat but the local council will be very busy for the next few weeks.
Less of my news but it will be good to get all my beloved Wiltshire books out of the storage unit and back on the book shelves. In between the move I have been trying to keep my hand in and a few items have been added to the website so I hope they are of some use and interest.
2025 will see the Military page rebuilt and other parish pages will get a revamp as we pass through the year.
We could still do with help from volunteers who could adopt a parish or page. If you have a little time available get in touch either via the Facebook page or through the contact us tab on the home page of the website.
I am going to make a concerted effort to upload all the items I have in the queue. So watch this space.
Until next time take care, stay safe and well.
