The Victoria & Albert

This old thatched inn, dating from the 16th century, is situated near two famous Hunts, hence the masks and hunting trophies displayed within the inn.  The beautifully carved otter pole was presented to the inn several years ago, and the cyder barrels that hang from the beams are a relic of the days when cyder was taken to the fields.  In the bar is the cupboard which housed the famous 100 year old cob-web, now unfortunately broken, but reforming, and the bar is decorated with a fine collection of brass.  The wishing well and Chinese bantams may be seen in the garden.
